Chris Swezey, founder and CEO is a long time youth sports coach. As his athlete's approached recruiting age, he began to research both the recruiting process and available tools/services to help his players. He found a lot of companies that make DVD's and others that provide educational services. But no one gave the college coaches what they were looking for. After interviewing college coaches at all levels and sports, Coach Chris realized that the average college coach doesn't have time to look at 30-40 minute DVD's, nor are they interested in watching countless skill drills performed over and over again.

Coach Chris knew there had to be better way for student athletes to get in front of prospective college coaches. He knew from talking with coaches that seeing video highlights was critical in the recruiting process. He also knew that the average video being sent to coaches was of very poor quality. Most being shot with cheap "handi-cam" type video cameras and then edited to include lots of special effects, music, and of a length that makes them undesirable to a lot of coaches.

What if he could get professional videographers to film the athletes? What if that quality footage was then assembled in a brief 60-90 second highlight film (E-Star) and then sent directly to the coach at their office? After assembling a team of top notch videographers and award winning video editors, that's exactly what we've done. STAR gives the coaches a brief, quality highlight video, delivered directly to their office. In addition to the video, the coach also receives a complete profile for the student athlete. Academic, athletic, and personal information are all included so the coach gets a full view of the potential recruit.

For the student athlete, we have assembled a large locker room of recruiting tools to help you every step of the way. A timeline: from freshman through senior years, telling students exactly what they need to do to stay on track. Answers to commonly asked questions regarding the NCAA, coaching communications, SAT/ACT's, walking on, National Letter of Intent (NOI's), official and unofficial visits, and many more are at your fingertips. Our Star Search College matching tool is a fantastic tool for the aspiring college athlete. The student and their family will answer a series of questions regarding their preferred college experience. Academic, athletic, geographic, and cultural factors are all combined to create a list of colleges created specifically for each student athlete. These are the coaches that will receive your E-Star Profile, sent directly to their mailbox at their office. STAR will then track your profile, telling you when a coach looks at your profile, and how many times.
